I brought a Farr 40 up from Ft. Lauderdale to NY last August. We tried going outside, but had strong headwinds after we got north of Florida, so decided to stay in the ICW after that. It was slow going, and we did hit bottom quite a few times (6' 6"…

Very nice site! Only sailed in NY Harbor once, out of 76th? St. boat basin??, can't remember..but was awstruck sailing past Statue of Liberty in the early am as sun rising..first time I ever saw her!
Yes, I do sleep!! :-) Decided not to sleep on my boat last nite after returning from meeting friends in Newport. Was suppose to sail today, friend called last nite and said couldn't make it and I was wide awake .....so I turned up the radio and drove home! I'm finding that at times a 25' boat a wee bit small to sleep on...it's that making coffee in the morning that's just not quite as easy! lol Thank you for the compliment...was goofing around with camera phone, trying to figure it out. So, do you sail every weekend? Livaboard? Finally great sailing weather!! Need more coffee, eye's still crossed..just woke up. Terri

I'm inviting NJ sailors who might be at Liberty Landing to join a new group. Just search for Liberty Landing under the Groups tab.
