Profile Information

Profile Type:
Sailor
Homeport:
London
About Me:
I've done two very exciting trips on monohulls. One from Trinidad in the Caribbean to San Diego, CA and the other more recently from Norfolk, VA to Jersey City, NJ.

I've worked on a privately owned luxury yacht for 18 months as a stewardess chartering in the Med and in the Caribbean.

I love the sea and am slowly starting my own path in sailing.
Current location:
London
Destinations visited:
Trinidad, Antigua, St Maarten, St Barth's, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, San Diego CA, Atlantic City Maryland, Various in the Med, mainly Cote D'Azur, Greece and Croatia.
Looking to:
Become a sailor in my own right with a future as far and as open as the sea.

I'm proud to say that I've just completed step 1 - "Competent Crew" sailing course. It was tremendous fun and I learnt a lot. Thanks to Colgate Offshore Sailing School at Liberty Landing!

On the verge of completing my Day Skipper theory, here in London via Elite Sailing. I can only say that I'm loving all the interesting new things to learn - navigation and tides and meteorology! All very gripping.

However, the further I get through the book, I find myself more and more relieved that I got the study material so long in advance. The detail they go into is extraordinary and I feel confident that I'm going to get the max out of this course and that my choice in sailing school was a very good one. The excitement for the possibilities that… Continue

Chula Vista! I remember when there were orange groves between Chula Vista and National City! And real, honest-to-God acres of farm land between Chula Vista and the border. I also remember having to take a ferry to Coronado. Gee, that must make me REALLY OLD.

hey... thanks for the comment! I work in the merchant marine, so luckily have the time off and the income to have enjoy the cruising lifestyle. My boat is in a very inexpensive slip outside baltimore now, while I am saving up to take a year cruise in the fall of 2010 :)

I haven't visited the bar yet. Seems the favorite with the guys at the marina is over on the other side in Jersey City. Seems the one marina side is very pricey...

up in the central valley, Santa Ana. I lived here for the past 4 years before heading back up north in Oct.

Yes the water gets very cold. There is heat aboard but I'll be seeing just how well it works!

Well being a sailor and all I couldn't fathom the thought of getting a pet without having a nautical name. So one day I ended up with a female cat and named her Gale S. The name spelled Gale was after the winter gales we got in New England that t...
