Felice Navidad!
Thanks for the invite.
I know I'll be busy "algun dia" when I visit Costa Rica.
My job keeps me on the water from the end of February through the middle of November, and this time of year we're busy fixing boats for launching in February.
I do have about 2 months a year I can take off work, but I spend that time either working on a few houses we have in our family in Maryland and Florida, and working on other private customer's boats. And in the winter we like to snowski and my two son's do snowboard often.
July is the best month for me to do Family stuff when then I hope to schedule a trip to Costa Rica. I don't mind a little rain...
When I do come to Costa Rica I would like to have a big party with all the Puntarenas sailors and maybe even do a sailing presentation. My Spanish speaking ability is passable, especially when talking about boats.
Quiero escribir en espan~ol, pero escribo en Ingle's para el beneficio de los oltros Seaknotter's aqui'. Estoy practicando mi espan~ol cada dia.
I lived in Spain for almost 2 years between 1984 & 1988, and I have always been wishing to travel to Central or South America. There is a long list of places I almost went to: Argentina, Uraguay, Brazil (I speak some Portuguese), Gayana (English Speaking) Peru & Mexico, but those opportunities faded away.
Between my new friends here in SeaKnots and my brother in law and 2 other friends from Annapolis who own property in Costa Rica, and a few of my Naval Academy students who go to Costa Rica for surfing during Spring Break, it seems that there is no other place better to go than Costa Rica. The report from everyone I meet who has been to Costa Rica is that the place is beautiful, a nature paradise, with very friendly and educated people and awesome surfing.
Perdo'n por la larga carta, pero yo tengo dedos rapido.
The resort at Tulemar is beautiful!
Definitely a 1st class operation.
5 stars!

The channel into Puerto Quepos looks interesting.
There are a few Ericson 27's here in Annapolis, and those owners love them also.
Puerto Quepos has a great website.

Take a look at the SeaKnots group called Gulf of Nicoya Sailors. You may recognize a few sailors there.
