Mike Wilson replied to Frank & Donna's discussion Fresh water flush in the group Beneteau 40 & 43
"Our marina in Clear Lake TX had very little water exchange.  Flushing the head with saltwater would almost drive you out of the boat.  Friends with other B40s used their shower wand to provide fresh water for the flush.  We had looked…"

Frank your comment didn't show up in the discussions on the 40/43 site. It's simply a comment on your page. Not sure if others will see it. For what it's worth I don't have the problem on our boat. There are two pieces of hardware holding the track in place, one on either end of the track. Look under the end caps for them. You should be able to tighten them with a hex key. There's a small flat square that fits inside the boom that the bolt screws into. I'd also check the car that rides on the track as they can lose the bearings allowing the car to become loose fitting on the track. Although if you're missed enough bearings it usually results in the car binding.
Good luck
Mike

How is everything with you, I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately. I have something very vital to disclose to you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on:( mr.frankkwabena000@yahoo.co.th ) for the full details.

Have a nice day

Thanks God bless.

RWA replied to RWA's discussion Questions From a new B40 Owner in the group Beneteau 40 & 43
"Chris - I ordered the service kit the day you replied.  When I installed the new parts, I couldn't see any damage to the old valves or diaphragm, so I was skeptical, but worked like a charm! Thanks for your help! -Ross"

Seeping leak near prop shaft

I have a seeping type leak near where the shaft exits my B43 behind the engine. The leak is not coming from the volvo seal, it puddles underneath the shaft and fills this area with saltwater after about two days. I have read a few posts on other sites about water leaking in from where the shaft exits the hull. Does anyone have any info on this. Going to call Beneteau tomorrow. Thanks DaveSee More
