Lobsta1, I lived in East Greenwich back in the late 60's. Sailed nd once they found out that I could use a slide rule, I became the handicapper for the Wickford Yacht Club. At that time we sailed frost bite in the winter and open races all summer. Great fun.
I looked into a mainship, but the Admiral really wanted to get a wood boat.
I am 71 years old and think that I have taken a really big bite for myself. The Mainship 34 is really a nice single handed boat with lots of amenities. I wish that I had done that, but life drives us differently sometimes. I have almost two new 34's into this project now. It will be almost like new when finished this June. I did not let them shine up the dings. The old girl earned all of her marks and gouges.
