Thanks for your note. We've never been down to the AC / Cape May area on our boat - only by car. We love it there, so I could only imagine what sailing is like over there, especially the Cape May area. We will definitely keep you in mind if we do ever head south. And drop us a note if you are ever up north.

Both of the places I mentioned are on the mainland side of the bay. I have yet to find a resturant that has adaquet dock space or water depth on the island to accomidate a sailboat. We draw 5'. IMO your best bet is to pick a place and anchor out then dink in to meet up with your friends. Adpending on how far you want to go there is a great anchorage just bast the Brigintine Bridge inside Rum Point. From there is a short dink ride over to the State Marina. Actually during the summer we avoid LBI. just too many people.
