About Me:
I left Sarasota, Fl with a partner in 1996 for the keys in a 35' Morgan. Stayed around the Keys until February, 1998 when we crossed over to Bimini and down the chain. I bought a CT47 in Grenada and sold the Morgan. My partner got tired of the life in 2004 and left, leaving me to singlehand for the next 3 years until I sold the boat in early 2007.
Current location:
Port Orange, Fl
Destinations visited:
From Florida through the Bahamas, Turks & Caucos, DR, Puerto Rico, Virgins and down the island chain to Trinidad and Venezuela.
Looking to:
Hopefully meet someone who wants to go cruising full time. I would love to go back out again, I missed the Western Caribbean and I've heard it's great over there.

Hi Betty... Just back in town. Had the chance to sail Victoria Harbour while I was in Hong Kong. Great experience. Always dodging the Star Ferries and Turbojet fast passenger transports... Best part of the trip.... Back to reality... Have to figure which boat to take to Key West for a New Years class and when to go...

How are you?

Hi there!

I was wondering where you went! I miss seeing you around in the islands and Venezuela.

Since you left the cruising community has changed a lot. Most of the people you knew have gone back home. John and Brenda are headed back this year and Dick and Jo have put the hook down in St. Thomas for the summer where Jo found a job with Budget Marine.

As for me, I got tired of summers in Trinidad am at this moment in Bermuda on my way to spend the summer cruising in New England. I won't stay state side though. I will go back down in the fall.

Best Wishes!

I found a Boat that I may get. an Islander 34. Just a basic boat will take some stuff to make it a cruiser but the price is right and it lloks good in the pics.
I may go to Los Angels to see it in person soon.

Want nto go cruise a small boat?
Hugs Gary

Hi Betty K,
Its a small virtual world, you contacted me on Fitness Singles. I am not active on the site and not able to respond there, but thought I recognized your pic, it seems I found you. I am new to seaknots, but I like the idea. I share your passion for sailing, This last spring was my first experience in the BVI on a Beneteau 46. Loved it look forward to more. I am in the final years of my working career, and working on getting the sailing kitty well stocked. I would enjoy hearing more from from you. Rod

Well I hope everything goes well for you, I did find a few new leaks in the driving rain and wind. It has finally gotten below 30 kts but quite a few passing thunderstorms just to the north and some light rain
