Has anyone successfully sailed with bikes on a C30? Not the folding type; we have one dirt-type bike and a hybrid. If you did, did you strap them to the deck? Manage to get them into the cabin?

Is it not worth it at all?

I'm planning a 7-day trip and my SO suggested that we take our bikes.

Thanks, Donna

My wife and I did do that when we had our 30, What we have are folding bikes as I assume you may as well. It was only her and I. It was nice but very tight i will say up front. .

Thanks for replying. No, we don't have folding bikes. If you're saying it's tight with folding bikes, it'll definitely be so with non-folding. I was hoping to strap them on deck or something but it might not be worth it.

Hi Donna. We had a C-30 and recently sold it to buy a C-350. Some things to think about...salt water...it will corrode the bikes pretty quickly (of course not in 7 days). If you strap them to a railing, they're likely to get pretty wet. The other thing...how will you get them to shore? If you're staying in marinas tied up on docks, then it's no problem. If you're on an anchor, it could be tricky getting them to shore even in a dingy.

I would strongly recommend buying the folding ones which could be stowed in the aft double berth.

All very good points. Thanks for the input.
