Hi
Does anyone have a complete wiring diagram for the Ben 40 or 43?
All the wires are numbered, but I have only been able to find out a few when I directly asked here Australia.
I was told Beneteau will not supply the detailed wiring diagrams.
Is this the case in Europe or USA?
If so, this seems unreasonable to me!!!
Has anyone else tried to get one ?
Regards
David
PS I was given an A4 diagram of the circuit for the Amp meter (as mine was wired incorrectly and didn't work) so it seems a separate diagram exist for each individual circuit on the boat.

David, in the US, a complete wiring diagram was provided on my 43. I will get mine copied and provide it to you if you think it would help.

Hi Sam
If you could I would greatly appreciate this
David
I am also interrested in it ... the one in my manual is more than crap
Hello,

here is a wiring diagram for a french built B43. There can be modifications so be cautious.

I have noticed there are a few free connections under the automatic pilot support. Do you know what they are are for ?

Hi Foster
Thanks for that but I was hoping to get a more detailed wiring diagram that had the code for each wire number.

If we had this, you would only need to look at the number to know what those connectors are for. Seems the boats are pre-wired for many options.

David
Hello,

No this is the only diagram I have.

It would be intresting to get a more detailed electrical installation description. Maybe a well equiped dealer doing maintenance would be a good source. There is also a lot of CATIA views for these boats.

We could have a common database by Seaknots on all the documentation on B40/B43.
I am going to the boat tomorrow and will bring the wiring diagram home and copy / post.It is a detailed one with all wiring codes.

Hi Denis
Sorry I didn’t see the second page of your PDF until I saved it on my computer.
Even thought it doesn’t cover all wire numbers on my boat it does seems to have most of the standard circuits.

It will be interesting to see if Sam has a more detail one than your second page.

Also where did you find the 3D diagrams?

David
Hello,

The 3d is a CATIA extract given by Beneteau. Catia is a CAD by Dassault systems widely used for airplane design and now for boats. You can calculate everything and you don't have to make prototypes and can build directly the boat. This explains how Beneteau can get new models every three years or modify exsisting ones like the 49 and new 49.

here is the info I have available. Hope it helps. It is for a US built 43.

I have a 2 Cabin 40 in Australia and the wiring seems almost the same except for the connectors at the junction box. This explains a number of the empty connectors on my boat.
Many thanks
David
VDO Panel Manual
This is a detailed manual for VDO panel, showing pin numbers on connectors, if anyone wants this. It may be different for the new models.
