SeaKnots

Hi all. I'm a new member in this group, which seems to be the most active and transparent one of Beneteau Oceanis owners/sailors. I have in France built B40 (2007) which I'm updating to more suitable for offshore solo sailing. This include among other things renewal of sails (more flat cut), trimming the mast, installing 'German' main sail sheeting stm, replacing halogen lamps with LEDs, installing AIS (easyAIS-IS), installing Tricolor, installing extra deck ring for storm jib, etc.

Beneteau seems to slightly difficult in sharing technical information. Has anyone done the installation of Tricolor (Masthead light)? My problem is how to make the connections behind the VDO-panel - I've already connected the Tricolour +cable from the mast to cable #4 below the deck.

Hello Simo and welcome,
According to user man... Cable 4 (tricolor) is not connected to the panel... Cable 1 (bow lights) and 10 (stern light) connected to nav-sail makes the most sense to terminate.

Thanks for the info and sorry my late response. Propably the best thing is to install a separate switch for tricolor.
