Hey Bene experts!

Does anybody else's floorboards squeak when you walk across them? May seem trivial, but early in the morning or late night trips to,the head can wake others. Any solutions would be really welcome.

Thanks!

Hello,

On our B43 we installed "Floor Anchors" not cheap but very effective. We did this not because of squeaks but for security since we store heavy items : water, spare mooring ... as low and centered as possible. We didn't want floors and the rest flying around in case of a knock down. These come aviation industry are well designed easy to open with a coin or screw driver and very sturdy. We can also have a full access to the bilge Under the saloon table.

Fair winds to all.

Thanks Denis,

So you anchored all the floorboards? I'd love to see pictures, especially of how you get full access to the floor under the salon table!  Awesome!

Hello,

The main floor baords (those with heavy Equipment below) in the setee are all with floor anchors. I think I used 24. When I will be at the boat I will try to send some pictures..

Take care;

Denis

My solution is far less sophisticated. I used bee's wax on the rubbing portions and no squeaks. I have a small block used for zippers of dry suites, I've seen similar in chap stick type tubes.

Fred

that's an idea!  i will definitely try that.  thanks!  i assume you had the same problem?

/cc

Yes, same exact problem. I'm still not entirely pleased with the height difference of some of the panels. the factory has added what apears to be 1/16" soft strips under the floor panels to even them out, but some are just higher than others.

Hope the squeaks go away for you..

Fred
