Hi

I am about to install a Paguro 3000 compact in rear starboard locker similar to this installation for a Paguro 4000 in a Beneteau 40.

Is there a better location for raw water inlet and strainer than under rear berth and I notice this one has a grounding stud/anode near seacocks.  I am told this is not required.  Does anyone have a generator that is grounded to a zinc anode?

hello David,

I just installed a 3,5KVA

generator on our B43 3 cabin outlet. We installed it between the two rear cabins. This allowed a centered implantation for weight. If you use the starboard lazarette you will not have these adavantages and you can not go from the starboard to the port lazarette which is easier than going through the small apereture in the port rear cabin;
HI Denis
Thanks
Yes this looks like a very good installation.
Mine is a two cabin so I don't have your position. Also I always have a lot of gear in the main starboard lazarette, so the extra weight to port isn’t such a problem
but I think yours is good as it also gets the weight a bit further forward.

Could you let me know where you have the raw water inlet? Is it behind engine??

Thanks for the pics

Regards

David
Hello,

here is the raw water intake you have to put it this way so that the water is not forced with pressure in the cooling circuit. I took also the antivibrating plate and the gas water separator. You hardly hear the generator. Much much less than the yanmar.
