OK, I have sailed for two years with a sloppy main (roller furling ). The leech line is next to impossible to adjust. The battens do not add that much shape, since the leech is spoiling flow off the sail as it flutters. That coupled with thismodels tendency to build weather helm quickly prompts me to consider replacing the main with anon battened one from someone other than NP. Any comments / thoughts?

Haven't had any issues so no I've not considered it. Yes the leech line is tough to adjust but more an issue of unable to reach it than anything else. I've actually not touched it as for the most part it's set properly for most conditions. As for the weather helm I've learned you have to play both the mainsheet and traveler more than normal. Though when you get it right she really flys! On a trip this summer, running in 15-20kt winds we were running steadily in the 8.7 range then jumped to 9.5+ when we fell off a few degrees. BTW that's speed through the water not over the ground.
