Do you have a GPS and a spare?

We have 3 all together.  The main one is mounted at the helm.  The one at the helm replaced the second GPS.  The second one still works so we mounted it next to the bunk so I can use it as a drag alarm.  It also displays battery state, time of day and lat/ lon.  I leave it on all the time.  It even doubles as an alarm clock.

The third one is a small hand held that we use in the dinghy to mark reefs that we want to be able to find again when we go hunting.

Thanks Veranda...I gues I need another.  It will be awhile before I do as much sailing as you, but a back up would be of value...I was told to have more than one.

You guys know what you are doing, and that is for sure.

Thanks for sharing.

Do you have a Nuvi or something like that for your car?  I *believe* they can display lat/ lon.  If so you could use it as a backup.  It won't show you any detail but at least you'd be able to use it in conjunction with your paper charts.

B43 Traveller

The starboard side of my Traveller is starting to lift up. I am guessing to remove the center 5mm Allen bolt that goes through the middle of the sheeves, although I cannot get it to budge, to access it. Does anyone have any experience with this??Thanks Dave B43 Shore's AdriftSee More
