Every year, lots of boats return from the cruising life with a boat full of gear they no longer need. Where do they go to sell that gear? Where can you find the best selection and best deals on used outboards, liferafts, safety gear, spare anchors, etc? Below are some options. Can anyone suggest more?

-eBay
-Craigslist
-SSCA marine flea market
-?

Here are a few sites I've bookmarked:

http://www.goodoldboat.com/resources_for_sailors/consignment_stores...
(A listing of numerous consignment outlets for gear)

http://www.marconlq.biz/
(A Florida outfit called Marine Connection Liquidators)

http://www.smalloutboards.com/
(AFA Marine, an Internet-based company specializing in the sale of small outboards)

In addition, lots of sailing group websites, such as Lats & Atts, sailboatowners dot com, etc., have classifieds sections worth checking out for bargains, or using to post your own items for sale.

All of the foregoing, needless to say, is offered without any implied endorsement.
