Thank you! Kona is doing good. Resting in Bali Marina since April 3, 2011. Will be here until mid-March before heading out to Papua this year. Great place to sail here but a bit too hot and humid to my liking.

Howzit Kevin,

Haven't been on this site since last post  ,but our 2/29 is looking good. Went sailing past Sunday with small craft and huge swell. Was fun! No fish to report but the sailing is great. The 2/29 is  a lot more boat than the 27. Very solid sailor with just enough headroom for me. We're loving it. Hope that "Kona" is all good for you. Have fun in Vegas!

aloha ka'kou,

Howzit ALL,

Hope this finds everybody well, especially you John,. Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and enjoyed the day. We got in a short sail and actually caught a small(12#) mahimahi. Was a good change from the leftover turkey. We ate it on saturday watching Hawaii'i football. Anyway, we've moved to Cal 2/29 and couldn't be more pleased. Picked it up in July and have been sailing hard ever since. However, we need to get some paint on the topsides and was wondering if anyone knows the Cal blue color? Looks like a standard on many Cal boats. Any help is appreciated. Good Holidays to all.

Mahalo,

John,  I'm so sorry to hear that your health is causing you to consider selling your boat.  That just makes me sad.  I sent you a friend request.  It's been a while since I've been on here... I hope you are ok, in Florida maybe? Thanks

Ok so first weekend out on my new to me Cal 2-30 and I noticed that the tiller really pulls (under power more so due to propwash), but even undersail, once the tiller leaves center position it grabs and pulls hard off center. I can feel the rudder pulling off center at all times, she turns effectively both directions but won't stay centered. is this a bearing, bushing, alignment problem. She comes out of the water in a few weeks and I'll have a look to see what the problem may be, but thought I'd ask for advice in the meantime. Any ideas?

Hey Everyone,

I just bought a 1968 Cal 2-30 and so far am loving it. She'll need some winter TLC but come spring, she'll be a thing of beauty!
