A few daysails in the New York harbor

As we finally prepare for our first weekend in the Long Island Sound, it's good to reflect on all the fantastic daysails we've had in the harbor this month. We've had lots of friends and family join us for our usual visits to the Statue of Liberty and even the George Washington Bridge!

We are starting to get used to the comfortable motion of the new boat and the fast pace under sail. With winds ranging from 10-30knots and the threat of a couple thunderstorms excitement hasn't been lacking. Just look at Patrice's face while she mastered a strong gust of wind :-)

Of course, sailing wasn't the only treat aboard Can Drac these past few days. Great company and live entertainment was plenty as well! I am also proud to say that docking has been pretty good each time (ok, I cheated with the thruster a couple of times, but give me a break!).

Now our eyes are set on the East River, Hells Gate, Manhasset and of course, our home away from home: Oyster Bay!
