So here we are again still moving forward to nprepare for the Pacific Cup, Sunday the 15th Cody and I attended Lee Chesneau's intense weather seminar at the Encinal Yacht Club, it was about 10 hours of very intense surface weather as well as the use of the 500Mb chart to help predict the surface weather and guess where the wind will be.  It was an amazing class and I learned an enormous amount.

Also the life raft has shipped from WQinslow in Florida and should be here in the next few days.  The lower standing rigging from our Mainmast is back, 2 staysail shrouds (intermediates), 2 forward lower shrouds and 2 aft lower shrouds right at 800 bucks, not bad.  Going to start reinstalling the tomorrow. I also repainted the starboard aft qtr today, hoping to get some the rest of the starboard done tomorrow, then spend a couple days doing the port side.

Time marches ever onward so we have to continue to accomplish something every day.

I am very glad that you enjoyed Lee Chesneau's class. I teach the Advanced Cargo Handling courses at MITAGS in Maryland for the Unlimited Chief Mate/ Masters license. Lee is a personal friend of mine and I remember when he taught his first class to the license candidates and they actually gave him a hard time!

He is hard of hearing, but he also surely is familiar with the 500 mb and all weather routing, and teaches it well. I am a graduate of SUNY Maritime College and took many weather courses, but listening to Lee will save your life, get that," save your life"! Even on unlimited vessels which I sailed for many years, without an in depth knowledge of ocean weather routing, not fully understanding the weather, one may as well stay home, or be ready to meet Saint Peter, and this is the man who will assist in keeping you all safe, make better decisions and know when to proceed or back down..

He does a lecture at the Annapolis Boat show Columbus Day weekend, its free, and you get a good idea, what one needs to know to tackle the elements, and win. I am glad you gave a good thumbs up to a personal friend of mine.
