About Me:

Hi... I'm a 56 year old single male with a 22" Sloop/Cutter trailer-sailor in Colonial Beach, VA on the Potomac River about half way between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. I mostly cruise single handed along the Potomac and in the Chesapeake Bay. I hope to someday sail along the Atlantic coast around Florida along the Gulf of Mexico and through the Caribbean. I'm also a Radio Amateur (since 1966) and currently hold the call KF8TK and maintain a station aboard the Spindrift 22. I've had the Spindrift for about a year and a half and haven't logged much time in it. I previously owned a Sea Snark (11' open bow dingy w/lanteen sail) and I used to rent a 21' sloop back in the early to mid 1970's & sail in the Anacostia & Potomac Rivers in D.C.

St. Clements Island on the Potomac. The first Maryland Settlement not too long after & too far from the Jamestown, VA settlement of John Smith's time.... I would like to sail to the Solomon and Tangier Islands this coming spring/summer...
