About Me:
I am currently serving as the Director of Federal Financial Services for the Vermont Department of Education in Montpelier Vermont. I served several years in the military and have worked with the University of Vermont's Division of Continuing Education and with the General Electric Corporation in Burlington Vermont.

I have served Burlington Vermont in a number of elected positions, first as a member of the Burlington School Board for four years, then as a City Councilor for four years, as Mayor of Burlington for two years, and then as a Vermont State Senator for four years.

My wife Linda and I are very active in boating on Lake Champlain. We spend as much time as possible on our boat C-Dory Tomcat 255 "Destiny II" in Charlotte, VT I am a USCG licensed captain with a 100 ton masters license and am an instructor for the US Power Squadrons. I teach an eight week basic Boating Safety course each year in the spring.
