- I was born and raised in Wisconsin and started sailing when I was 12. I never owned my own boat until I was 34. the first one was a Snark that I only kept for a season. I kept moving up until I purchased my last boat S/V Nereus, a 1983 Hunter 30. In October of 2007 I got on a sailboat with a crazy Texan and ended up in Florida. After a couple of moves I settled in Vero Beach.(for now).
