Sailing a 1981 Catalina 38. "Tranquility" is a delight to sail. I have owned this boat for 12 years. When traveling, I take the opportunity to sail rental boats on various lakes and coasts. From the Chesapeake, to it never hurts to learn different rigs, and waterways to expand your experiences.

I have had leaks all over my port and chainplates. I took apart all my ports and sealed them between the glass and the frame, and between the frame and fiberglass. No problems since....
www.catalinadirect.com sells a kit with the right sealeants and gaskets, you should take a look at it.
The chainplates were sealed with 3M 101, and so far so good.
