Hey Dave, Didn't know this whole time we weren't "friends" here at Seaknots. I'm having trouble getting onto FB. Are you? Not sure if it's them or me..i can access everywhere else.

lol, Better late than never! The Lats and Atts party was wonderful but cold. Free beer and free pizza, lots of folks and the Eric Stone band! It was lots of fun

Thanks of the note, yes solar but that's not all, just a part. I'm building in a regeneration system that charges my batteries off the rotating propeller. The motor for propulsion is electric, no diesel smell, no noise, no gas, just "purring" like a kitten. I started building it almost 4 years ago when I moved here from California. I worked for Apple Computer as a Senior Tooling Engineer and in there infinet wisdom they decided that they didn't need any more Senior Tooling Engineers, so they laid us off......Hummmmm!!!! what to do?? guess I'll do what I always wanted to do but never had the time, build a self sufficent sailboat, I found the design I wanted here in Hudson, flew down the next weekend bought it, went home to San Jose stopped by Home Depot, bought a forsail sign, stuck it in my front yard, 2 days later the house was sold and 3 weeks later I was on a road trip to Florida... It's been fun, lots of work but getting closer to being finished. Lots of "life" got in the way throughout the 4 years so it's taken a lot longer than I had planned, but as they say, "nothing comes easy that is good for the soul". I've learned a lot about myself, what I wanted, and what I didn't want.. I have a website if you would like to take a look, it's not up todate, it's been about a year since I've added progress but I will soon. The web address is www.redeemedcc.com hope to hear from you again... Dave

I would very much enjoy knowing local sailors! Electric propulsion? Is that all about solar panels? I'm not sure. Joni

"Hi All, french built 2010 43 has been very dry down below but now a slow leak has occurred which is showing at the limber holes under the floor board in forward cabin. Bilge pump goes every 3hrs for 20secs. Not sure if it’s fresh/rain water or…"
