Profile Information

Profile Type:
Sailor
Homeport:
Stamford, CT
About Me:
I am a decent sailor - not much of a racer, though. I enjoy working on my boat (and the boat give me a bit too much, er, enjoyment!). It's a '99 Hunter 420. Been sailing about 20 years...but still want to hone skills so I can be comfortable in any conditions and situation.
Current location:
Stamford, CT
Destinations visited:
Sailed in the BVI, Tampa, Keys, Scotland, Chesapeake. They were all bareboat charters. Kansas (lived there, had a MacGregor 25 on a lake). And of course, Long Island Sound.
Looking to:
Full - time cruising......in the not-so-near future.

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
