Comment by Edana Long on December 4, 2008 at 10:52am: I like to encourage everyone to share their favorite anchorages and cruising destinations in and around NC, in the hopes that we can all find new and wonderful places to visit and drop the hook. Our waterways are full of little creeks and gunkholes that are worth exploring as well as the returning to the popular destinations like Cape Lookout or Ocracoke Island. It's also fun to make new friends that you can cruise with. So I hope this group can become a message board for impromptu trips. For instance, 'We are sailing to Cape Lookout this weekend, anyone want to join us' etc. And a place to post events happening all around the area. I look forward to all of your input and ideas.
