I found a small piece of broken plastic near the mainsheet traveller track. It was a pert of the upstand block, that holds the fiddle block upright. On the B43, the mainsheet traveller car is a unique item(lewmar 29432424). It is a Lewmar size 2 but with a size three upstand cup. When I ordered a replacement (part number 25000115), the new one is now made of metal. I have enclosed a picture of the old (broken plastic part) and the new one (metal).

Ed, I assume you are speaking of the blocks on the traveller system as opposed to the blocks on the mainsheet control itself. I fought a difficult/ high effort traveller until i changed out all of the lewmar blocks that had simple sheaves with ones with ball bearings. That made a huge difference for relatively little cost.

Same problem on my 2010 B40. The plastic part has broken in half. I have not thus far made any attempt to replace it so not aware if available or obsolete and replaced with a metal part. Where did you go to find replacement part? Lewmar direct?
Greg, I asked Beneteau for the mainsheet system exploded diagram indicating all part numbers. Then I contacted Mauri Pro in Texas. They have been excellent in sorting out part numbers and replacement pieces on Lewmar equipment.I am not sure if the B43 and B40 use the same traveller, but they could be thae same as most items on those two models seem to be.
It's an easy fix, simply remove the pin, insert the cup while getting the spring attached.

Do you go to Beneteau direct or do you ask via dealer? I'm getting mixed response from both.
