SeaKnots

Hello,

Hope everyone in the northern hemisphere is enjoying the summer.

We just changed the halyards for low stretch dyneema spliced ones of our mainsail with slab reefing.

After about 24 hours of dead downwind sailing with main on preventer and genoa on a whisker pole we found significant chafe on the sides of the mast top near the sheave.

Lucky to have seen it before rupture.

Besides cuting off the chafed end and doing a knot has anyone have a more durable solution :

Protection on the halyard, low friction protection on the mast top, both someting else Like modification of the mast top.
