I put a 60 lb. mansion on my B-40 two years ago and it fit perfectly. The only problem was I needed to use a boat hook to turn the anchor around on occasion, it it came up sideways or backwards.
Thanks Bruce. 4 more questions:

Yes, I use a stainless steel universal swivel. The tip of the mansion did not touch the bow. The anchor rode very securely on the bow roller with the shank over the roller and the neck snug up against the roller. My mansion is galvanized. By the time it rusts through, I would be in the grave. However, each year I sand out the rust spots and spray galvanized paint on those spots. I am very happy with this anchor as we have not dragged one we set it and backed down at 1500 rpm. This was in sharp contrast to the 45 lb. Bruce which did drag on a 180 degree wind shift and only a sandbar kept us off the rocks at 3 AM in the morning. Can't find a picture for you on a B 40 as we moved up to the 45 this summer. If you want to see how it sits on the 45 roller, I send a picture to you of that.
Hi Bruce,
Thank you for the helpfull and detailed information. I thought 45 lb would be enough for my B43. But your choise of 60 lb for B40 made me think once more. I really want to see how 60 lb Mansion sits on your roller. My anchor is a Brittany 20 kg. and it fits to the roller well. Considering the serious shape differences between these 2 anchors, I doubt about the compatibility.
We have a manson and love it. To answer another question I saw here it does not always come up facing the correct way. Sometimes you have to time its spin to get it in. Other times I have to use a boat hook to move it right side up to come up and over the roller.
