Are you sure you have the only Beneteau 43 in NZ?

I work on one here in Gulf Hrb Auckland. I installed the second alternator kit that fits under the stairs and charges at 245 amps for Yachtwork.com

Hello,

I have a Beneteau 43 in Spain, I just installed a Mastervolt 90A alternator, with some difficulties because of the belt that comes close to the housing of the sea water pump. Therefore we could only put in one belt. Would you have other pictures (ie from above) of your installation. Thanks.

Thanks for asking. I think a second alternator kit is about 450 for your boat and you can use a 160 amp Delco large frame alternator that costs another 150 so for about 600 you can charge at about 240 amps.

The trick is to fit the alternator reverse mounted and under the stairs. It just fills that unused triangle perfectly. A great kit all in all. We use it on a lot of boats now, but it was originally designed for the Beneteau 43.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I have been away.

I thought I had the only 2008 Bene 43 ( the new shape) in NZ but maybe I am wrong. I have put a smart charger on mine but may need a second alternator on someday. Your skills might come in handy.
