Event Description

Thanks to our skippers, sponsors, donors, and volunteers for helping to raise over $208,000 to make The 10th Annual Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta a resounding success! Thank you all! Thank you Deltaville!

The entire weekend was filled with strong competitive spirit and fun both on and off the water. The annual Friday evening Crab Cake Dinner launched this year's Regatta festivities. The live and silent auctions that night raised over $21,000! The races commenced on Saturday morning and continued on Sunday. Sailing superstar and our hero, Gary Jobson, was there to host the racing awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon. It was an exciting weekend right through the very end!

With every campaign effort, we look to fulfill our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for our patients and their families. Each contribution brings us closer to the cures we are all hoping for. We thank you for your commitment to help us advance our vital mission and look forward to seeing you again at the 11th Annual Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta.

Save the date and join us in Deltaville on July 10-12, 2009!

This is a great weekend, and fun is to be had by all. Another all amateur race format. Some are racers, some are not. Or, you can just hover outside the race course, relax and watch the racing. Deltaville has plenty of transient slips, and restaurants. Also two (2) West Marine stores. ;0)
