I was (still?) hoping to have the boat (Stevens 47) in FL and cruise the Bahamas this winter but instead I'm living aboard in NY harbor (Liberty Landing) while awaiting job search results. If you are in the NYC area drop me a line.

Hi Terri,
My name is Ron. I sailed the BVI's a few years ago. It will spoil you. I captained a 50' Beaneteau with eight other people aboard. The distances between the islands is short and in three weeks, you will enjoy everything there is to see. We ate in a different restaurant every evening and it was a culinery delight. My homeport is Greenport, L.I. and I sail the New England coast extensively in the warm weather. We'll be sailing in Maine for the month of July, 2009 with six other boats. Enjoy your vacation and have a great time.
Regards, Ron

Love getting on the water, and being in S Florida does afford some opportunities. Haven't done lots of long distance cruising but have been to the Bahamas, BVIs ( twice), down to the keys, and around Biscayne Bay... learn something every time I'm out, and regardless of the sail, most any day on the water is a good day... well, I haven't been in 16 ft seas, so I guess I'm not totally sure of that :)

Seeking female travel companion to join me on other people’s boats and airplanes, or commercial airliner. Full time Station Agent for airline can get time off easily. Please see profile for more sailing information about me.

Lee

I am in St. Thomas most of the winter, as you get closer let me know if you are going to stop in here or skip the USVI and head over to the BVI instead.

Anyone interested in cruising the Caribbean this winter let me know. I'm leaving on Thursday and will be in the Bahamas till January and then sailing to Virgins in January and then to Antigua February and March. After that maybe the Mediterranean. I take on folks that want experience or to learn to sail. (I ask that you contribute to the keep Krasna Afloat campaign, so it's not for free.) If there were a few people that wanted to go I've got plenty of room, it's a 40' ketch, heavy sparkman and Stephens designed cruiser. Send me a note if you're interested

Sailing and cruising in the New England area for now. Headed south and west in 2010 till i get tired of cruising, like that might happen. Really enjoying the process of getting ready to cast off the docklines.
