Looks like this teak we varnished with Cetol is now badly damaged by the sun. :(

We want to strip all the varnish off and leave it bare for now.

What would you recommend to remove the leftover varnish?

We tried with a brush and this is as far as we got...

Looking forward to your thoughts!

This is what Cetol did to our wood when we still used the product 5 years ago.
If you want to leave the wood raw I'd hand-sand the varnish off to bare wood.
Heat gun with a plastic scraper will take it right off, just dont set the gun on high
i recently commented on another discussion about my assisting apply cetol on anothers boat...i would like to make mention(in case i was thought to have kudoed cetol) that my intention wasnt to rate cetol or recommend it, only mention th process that went into th product we used...that pic looks like what we hand-sanded, only to reapply.
