Hi Mark, my friend, Dianne, isn't so lucky to have her boat in the BVI..:-) The boat is on Lake Ontario, Canada, on the hard at the moment.
She's trying to dry out the boat. Her short sailing season up here in the north has already been compromised.. sigh..
But, there's nothing she can do. When the boat is dry enough, the work on getting the hull done can begin and, hopefully, this'll happen soon. :-) So, it'd be good if she could speed up the drying process.

I'm going to call my friend today to let her know about the heat /vaccum pads you mentioned. Maybe it's going to help her. Thanks a lot for the info and fair winds.
Your boat is looking good. I bet the work was worth it.

Hi Liv.. nice to meet you...... I personally can’t give an opinion from experience. Thankfully this is the and last time I’ll come across the problem.. I usually go for much younger boats.
What I did do was my own research... you're correct the drying process is an issue... where is your friends boat..? Caribe or stateside.. the UK pretty much as a matter of course now.. use heat/vacuum pads (Google them) these pads speed up the process by drawing the moisture out... it’s an option… cheers Mark in the BVI

My friend's CS27 just now is undergoing the same treatment.
It seems the hull needs to dry out more before the job can be finished.
Do you have any tips on what she should look out for ?

Hi Terri... yes it’s a pain... but it’s got to be expected on a 30 odd year old hull... I have good guy and team on the job.. he hasn’t had one come back on him in 20yrs of doing them... thankfully unlike a modern hull... the hull is 1.5 inches thick!..
