I find getting into always easier than getting out of. Only thing about these docks is they're fairly new I guess and the way he had them built even though they are floating like all others... they are low. Real low..like I need to be 4" taller low. Most people have steps they built nailed to dock. One of the guys gave me a plastic set with 4 screw hole points that he had last year. Kind of wiggly... non swimmy sailorette don't like wiggly near the waters edge...lol..so may have something built by carpenter friend. Is great you can pull car up in front of slip..will be a haul here..but i find putting stuff on boat while on the hard easier anyways. Neat you'll be able to splash anytime too! I think April 1st is about the earliest I've seen recreational boats go in here..usually the Carver Condo types, floating cottages that never see the sea. so stink'n hot here now..thinking about putting on clothes and going to market for Luigi's Lemon ices. Have to trot the trash done the lane too before the wolves & fishercats come out.

Terri, the slip we got is small and has a terrific current [ it'll be a challenge to get into ].. few cleats [ have to install a few ourselves] .. it's really not a great slip. But, we're in the door of this club, not on the waiting list any more and I'm sure, given time, we'll get a better slip when one becomes available. I'm happy.
I can drive right up to the slip, park right in front of the boat.. Hey..that speaks for something. Will take pictures as soon as the boat is splashed. Oh.. forgot..we also found out that the 'finger ' docks never get taken out for the winter so we can splash ANY time now..Lucky,lucky.. I'm so thrilled.

Oh, and most importantly this slip has 8 cleats! Sure beats 4 lil posts with a hole drilled through them. Just need more cleats on the boat now.

This was my first choice when I first bought the boat but was swayed by "new & sparkly".... give me well worn, friendly & salty now! Have learned alot in the past year. Hmmm..kinda like i like my men... :-)

Glad you got this spot. We too just managed to get a mooring at the closest to us yacht club.. It's a very small club and it's quiet there. I think we'll love it and have already met a few people.
