Hi All-

There are so many options out there. I was wondering what options or upgrades you added to your Beneteau that you are happy with and if there are any that you thought were a good idea at the time but could really live without.

I got my 393 from St. Barts in Charleston in 2004. I got it strictly for cruising and we live on the boat from late November to June in the Bahamas.

First I had to get a new 2 roller stemhead fitting as the boat only came with one anchor roller.
Split the anchor locker so that the 2 rodes are separated.
12v outlet in anchor locker (for my low draw anchor light)
Stainless arch for radar, KISS wind generator and dinghy AB with 15hp Yamaha
Upgraded to Yanmar 56 hp engine
Upgraded primary winches 54cst
Instrument pod on coachroof
Macerator pumps both heads
Deck wash pump
Three burner stove (St. Barts swapped out the 2 burner )
HO alternator, extra battery, 2000w inverter, Link monitoring system

Those are the main options. Last year I added a full enclosure to the dodger and bimini and am very happy with that.
The arch is a really great option and Beneteau's price is better than any after market supplier.
The only option that I got that I don't use at all is the screens for the ports.

My wish-list is a bit longer but it's all about the money :-(

- AIS Transmiter and reciver
- Radar
- AC and Heater
- Bow thruster
- TV + Tracvision Sat receiver
- Freezer
- Microwave
- A few extra accumulators and a strong inverter
- Teak deck
- Possibility to transform the couch in the salon in an extra bed
- A full enclosure to the dodger and bimini
Actually I installed in addition to the ones mentioned above

Raymarine gyro 2 and the SmartController and the AIS Transmitter 500

Did any one tried to change the Plotter ?
I will change the Plotter in a C120 because I think the C80 is to small for radar.
Our 43 came with the E120 so yes the C120 will also fit.

Is this fixation strong enough ?

To get a pulley at this place, in order to change the position from the cockpit is only avaible in an extra expensive an useless package . How do you manage the optimal trim of your Genua ?
If you get Neil Pryde sails they have a Genoa and Mainsail Trim guide on line. Here's the link:

Sorry I shared only the Mainsail guide. Here's another link:

Is there no protection ?
They don't tape the turnbuckles at boat shows since the mast will be taken down when the boat is taken away.

This is a cool feature to fix the anexe .... or is'nt it ?
