The Isles Mujeres, Mexico to Kemah,Texas Adventure of May 2008

Paul and Leanne Renfro had been cruising the Caribbean for the last few years and while staying a Granada, Paul became very ill. They left their Hughes-38, Otra Mundo on the Island and returned to the US to undergo treatment. It weighed heavily on Paul to have left his boat on Granada. Steve Oesterling and Rob Sherrill offered to put crews together to sail the Otra Mundo home. Steve, his crew, Eddie Havlice and Jeff Aufill sailed her from Granada to Isla Mujeres. Rob Sherrill, Dan Weaver and myself sailed her from Isla Mujeres to Kemah, Texas. Our portion of the adventure took 6 days and 8 hours and covered 755 miles. We see Paul sitting on his boat from time to time, with a smile on his face.
