As much as I love wooden boats have to agree with you on the maintenance thing. I have all I can do to keep 25' of plastic shiny.

there's something so beautiful and romantic about an old, wooden boat.
I once saw an older cruiser that had been completely restored. Of course , I had to 'grill' the captain about his boat. He commented of the hundreds of hours of work he put into this boat to bring it back to it's original beauty. He also spoke of the maintenance.
Right there and then I decided that fiberglass will be just fine for my little bathtub.. LOL
