Hi LOLA. At this stage in the voyage there is no chart. Blank grid sheets can be used but I don't bother (To Laura's astonishment, I can visualize our location by just the lat and long and calculate the rhumbline course to the next waypoint). Celestial would have been impossible during the second half of the trip. I used a hand-held GPS to determine position course and speed once or twice a day.

Closer to land everything changes of course. Paper charts and any other reference material available come into play to supplement the all important and too often neglected Mk I A-1 Eyeball, a good pair of 7X50 binoculars and a hand bearing compass (And a GPS)

Bree is indeed a sweetheart and yes, she likes to crawl under the covers.

Great Video. Thank you, I'm taking a Pilotting class...so tell me are you using charts , or GPS? just how are you navigating.?

Bree is sweet...I think at the end there she wanted to get under the covers the way my cats do.
