Laser Pico sailing in Caldera

Posted on December 8, 2009 at 3:00pm 0 Comments

Fellow SeaKnots member Max Soto joined in plus sailing buddy Bruce Young. We had a great day of warm weather/warm water (both in the 80's), light air sailing. We are hoping to increase the sailing activity here in Costa Rica by magnitudes...especially our own! I will post a few photos after Max sends them to me

Here's a few photos

CT to Norfolk

Posted on September 9, 2009 at 1:12pm 1 Comment

I just returned from Norfolk by car after sailing the boat from CT to Norfolk this past weekend. We left from Westbrook,CT on Friday and arrived on Monday AM. It was a bit short on crew as I had to share my 3rd crew (I prefer at least 4) with a friend from Martha's Vineyard who was alone on his Hans Christian 48. We sailed down as a pair. On Friday, mid-day, we passed by the UN on the way down the East river. We spent a very enjoyable overnight in Sandy Hook then set off mid-day Sat for Norfolk… Continue

Art, you are right! Just came back from spending a day in Bonifacio and Lavezzi. What an experience! I can imagine this harbor entrance looking exactly as it is thousands of years ago!

Found your site and answered my own question re-live aboard. Great life, if I could only stop working. Down to 3 days/ week but cannot seem to break the last tie called funding my lifestyle.
My dream is to do the Pacific via the Panama. Possibly back home to Australia to visit family than off again.
Have a great summer
