Eighth Day??? What happened to Day 9? OMG as they say in text land. The last two days made for perfect sailing. With a northeasterly 12 knot breeze we cruised along at an average of 7.6 knots on a close reach using the stay sail as our jib. Then on Sunday we had no main sail (that's another story) and used the big jenny. Cruising along at an average of 5.5 knots we were happy sailors. Thanks to my blue eyed crew on Saturday and my green eyed crew on Sunday SPRAY never kissed a piling at the dock. Saturday's little engine problem became a stressless challenge.
Back at the homefront the washing machine is finally fixed. Chores are getting done and I expect to have time for a beachwalk or bike ride. What else? All I know is May 29 is rapidly approaching. My weather router, Chris Parker, advised I check in with him on Monday. He also offered this food for thought: "if the weather is nasty in the gulf stream, especially a nor'easter, than the coast will be wild as well." HMMMMMMMaybe I will go to church on Sunday or a Synagogue Friday night . . .
Gotta go,,,,,,,except one more thing,
In case you are in the neighborhood and want to have a mini party on board SPRAY, stop by Port Canaveral Yacht Club on Sunday, May 27 ,,,,,,anytime, just let me know you will be there so you don't get dock left (I will take up to six people, and I have two confirmed already)......You will need a life jacket as I only have two on board.....
