It's Done! And, I've passed my Captain's License Exams!

Wooohooo! it's been a long time coming, but i finally did it and passed my Captain's License Exams. I am so glad it's over and I can get on with studying fun stuff!
It was an interesting road there: In order to write an article on the subject, I took both an online course and a classroom course. Now I know which one is best for whom. The article will hopefully appear in Blue Water Sailing Magazine sometime soon. In the meantime, be sure to pick up the August Issue where you can find out all about which apps to get for your iPhone.
I don't know about you, but for me, i've never had so much fun with a phone. And every time I see someone with one, I ask, "Hey! Do you love your iPhone?" And 9 out of 10 will say, "I love my iPhone!" In the article (BWS's picks for best iPhone Apps for Cruisers) I review all kinds of apps from navigation to conversions to really cool stuff to show off to your non-sailing friends!
Speaking of cool things to play with...check out this week's Cruising Compass and the Website of the Week. You can sail in the Fastnet Race (well, Virtually, at least!). The Virtual race begins this Sunday, Aug. 9th. Check it out at www.cruisingcompass.com.
Over and out!

Congratulations! Very interested in which approach to take when the time come's for license. Currently have the book by Bud Gonder - The Coast Guard License and thinking possibly that's the route to go. Happy Sailing! Terri
