So, this hurricane probably isn't going to impact O-Town weather other than MAYBE some rain. And hey, let's face it, that's what it DOES here a lot.

If the bread starts flying off the grocery store shelves...well, then, I'll know O-town is going to be impacted....that's what the natives do here when there's a hurricane coming...they buy ALL THE BREAD off the shelves. I will self-activate myself as "The resident hurricane blogger" so I can update on the storm, if need be.

I will be out, I hope, on EW this weekend so I am gambling heavily on there being no ramifications to the weather on the east coast. I will take some pics of the channel markers and islands out there to post when I get back. I would imagine the water will still be pretty high.

The weather today here in O-town is still hot and still muggy. Yikes...it's like getting out of your car and being ironed...normally it would be a dry iron...but after Fay, it's like being ironed with a steam iron. You just wilt!

I need to get out on the water. :) Stay safe and dry everyone.

Well we are down here very close to where Gustav hit ..and other than quite a bit of wind ..and a little bit of drizzle here and there ..its kind of a tame Hurricane compared to Rita back in 05' (we took a direct hit on that one, whereas we are on the total backside of Gustav by being just across the border in Texas this time). Looks like you folks are looking at a couple more storms out in the Atlantic ...if thats where you are ...keep the hatches battened and your eyes on the weather .. ;)=
