I am planning to add Garhauer adjustable jib cars on my B40.  To do that I will have to remove the end caps on the jib tracks.  I realize that the track itself is thru bolted, but was wondering whether the end caps are just screwed on, which will make removing them much easier.  Any advice would be welcomed.

Gary, my end caps were breaking down and I recently replaced them.  Just screwed in, very easy.

Wondering how your adjustable car project is going.   They are on my list.   I did buy a second pair of footblocks to stack on top of the ones for the jib sheets that have jammers.  My thought was this would be a good place to run the control line.  Would be able to adjust from the cockpit.  Picture of footblock is from a Harken system on a Catalina.

mike , just installed, but haven’t tried out yet

very simple install, cost $500, cars move smoothly

I added  the controllable jib cars, great addition. Took two tries to get them machined correctly for the T flange track. Caps are a simple screw on,
