I have again water in the ship!

As you know, this bilge has no communication with any other bilges ...

The part where the tube goes through the boat is mire than wet! ...

We cleaned that bilge 12 hours before and every thing was dry after ...

Does any body have an idea what could happen ....

Have you verified this little opening of that bilge under your shower/wc ????  Just to be sure that I am not alone with a problem like that .... :-(

Thanks for this, I hadn't thought about that possibility.
My deck shower head does drip sometimes and it would drain to the stern gland.
So even though I always depressurise the water when I leave the boat, it still may have been gradually leaking for a long time and slowly building up. I will check tomorrow.

David, it may be the mixing valve and not the shower head. I've had both leak. And that drip you mentioned starts to run down the inside of the hull once you put the shower head back into place. Mine had cracked due to the captain (me) forgetting to winterize it. It took me forever to find the source of the water.
Thanks again I will check. I added the mixer valve myself as it wasn't a standard item on my boat 2007 - I will have to crawl in and check the connections. David
Well I check to day. Fixed dripping deck shower.

But the main water tank was cracked. Lots of water!!!!!!
Hopefully they will replace it.
We too had the water tank crack. They replaced the aft tank under warranty. Apparently there were some bad tanks. Good luck
Mike
Are those a small crack in the tank or a really big one? Does all the water came out or only dipping ... until you see the quantity?
Thanks Mike
Alain
In the bilge it looked the same as yours (but so did my previous leak from the shower sump. Although this leak had a slight smell, but not like a leak from head).
Then I found a small amount of water around engine seacock Pic 1.
Then I found water around propeller shaft behind engine.
Then water around edge of water tank near batteries Pic 2.
But no sign of flowing water at all.
I then filled rear tank, the extra pressure caused water to spurt from the centre hole Pic 4. Leak found!!!!!!
Yours may also be from the pressure water system. Let some water out but not enough to start pump. Leave over night. If pump starts, or in morning if you have to let out the normal amount of water to start pump – then likely it’s a leaking valve or joint. Beneteau told me the deck shower is the most common source of water. See Mike's comments above

Did you ever find where the water was coming from?
No ;-(
But Beneteau should better find it quick .... they are coming tomorrow ...
Good luck and let us know what they find.
Now they are gone ...

So, they fixed :
- A new black water holding tank ( this is now the 3trd! )
- New black water tubes
- New tubes for water to any installation in the shower/Wc room
- New silicon round the black water sink and so on ...
... they could not find where the water came from ... so they replaced every thing ! ;-) ( french style :-) )

In a few weeks they will come again (!!! Crazy Beneteau people! ) and fix the fridge (the tube from the compressor to the fridge is taking air, so that the compressor is running more than it should and you can hear a noise like birds in the fridge), The oven interior ( the upper gas flame is not working well ) so the will replace the whole gas system inside ... ) AND I`ll get a new Fuel *** ____ *** (don' t know the english name of it. ) We had 12 liters of Diesel left in the tank, and the panel told us that it is 1/4 full. After refilling the tank the panel told us that we have 3/4 filled.

Anyway, today I am going to clean the boat and start tomorrow for a 5 day trip to Croatia (Novigrad + Rovigne ). Hopefully that I 'll not return with new problems ;-)

read you in a few days ...
Hello Alain,

Interesting post.

The fuel (and water) gauges from VDO are totally unreliable. I am thinking of using the Mastervolt bus system to monitor them. What I feel the most reliable is a careful measure of engine time <2L/H) and a 33% margin of error. For water now we have the watermaker ...

I uncloged the outlet and cleaned the black water tank last year. A level measure would be good to keep from overflow. If someone has a good solution ?

Have a safe trip to Croatia.

Denis
