Event Description

Pre-Planning Announcement

This will be an unsponsored group sail and raft up.Agenda and destinations are up for discussion.
The preferred dates would be Friday May 22,thru May June 1,2009, This is Memorial Day Week.
The basic idea would be to meet up somewhere mid-bay on Friday or Saturday, or Sunday, and sail to a to be determined destination. Perhaps Tangier Island, or St Michaels, or Onancock. Just some possibilities. The time frame is open for discussion. One week, including two weekends would be great. The general idea is to get out and meet new friends. Those with boats might be willing to host members that don't have boats in the immediate area.

Several Multihulls from CMA (Chesapeake Mutlihull Assoc.) will be in St. Micheals on Sat night after the Annapolis to St. Mich's race. 3-4 cruising tri's and at least one maybe two cat's plus the racers.

Comments and suggestions are not only welcome, they are imperative!!! Let's get something going!!! This is almost always a great week weather wise on The Bay. Here's a chance for those of us with boats, but maybe little cruising experience to sail as a group to a known destination. Safety in numbers and all that. Dates are flexible, starting point and destinations are flexible at this point. This is a target, not set in stone. But I need input quickly so that we can set make firm plans. I can make charts available if needed, and can suggest appropriate cruising guides. So come on folks. Speak Up!!!
