...married on May 20th of 2000. Chuck was finally awaken from the motor boat world to the wonderful world of sailing on the honeymoon. We bare-boat chartered for two years in Tomsriver, NJ until we purchased our first sailboat Ebenezer -- a 1983 Catalina 30 -- in Essex, CT on October of 2001. We've since sold it and purchased Eliezer -- a 2003 Beneteau 331, which was traded-in for Eliora -- a 2008 Beneteau 423 that was delivered on June 27, 2008.
One of our favorite things is to sail into new anchorages/harbors. And for Sandra, napping on the way as well.
Current location:
Jersey City, NJ
Destinations visited:
On our boats: Nantucket, Edgartown MV, Cuttyhunk, Newport RI, Block Island, Essex CT, Stonington CT, Mystic CT, Clinton CT, Bridgeport CT, Sag Harbor NY, Port Jefferson NY, Oyster Bay NY, Glen Cove NY, Hemstead Bay NY, City Island NY, Sandy Hook NJ, Sea Bright NJ
On other boats: Chesapeake Bay (Onancock Creek, Tangier Island, etc...) and Maine
Looking to:
Explore the world by sea together with Freckles (our lovable cockapoo) and share the love of God to all encountered.
Hi Chuck and Sandra,
I cannot thank you both enough for being such amazing hosts! I had such a great time hanging with you and Freckles. She is quite the swimmer. I hope to have more fun in the future. What a great weekend!

Hey guys, it was great to meet you and spend some time this weekend. It's always nice to make new friends, not to mention sailing friends. Let's keep in touch and try to get together again before the season's out. I still need to play with Freckles! Plus, maybe we can get together without the 97 boat powerboat raft!
Port Washington is an easy weekend spot because the holding is good, there also are plenty of moorings, and there's stuff to do ashore as well. Just a thought.
It's easiest to get in touch with me by mobile (914-714-0661) or email (either dgoldberg@kasowitz.com or dan@bermudacruisingrally.com). I'm having trouble accessing the site from work for some reason. Plus, I don't necessarily check it regularly. If you email me, however, I'll definitely get that.
Hi Chuck and Sandra,
Sorry for not replying for a while, I haven't had internet access for the last few days. We are in Newport now trying to get some of the electronics repaired. You can send me an email anytime at jersmith1@gmail.com. Keep in touch!

Hi Chuck, Sandra, and Freckles,
It was very nice meeting you all yesterday and thanks for dinner! I hope you had a good trip to Block Island and keep in touch.

Nice to see other NJ sailors! Most ofour (Katherin and I) sailing is along the southern end on NJ. We live along Great bay (about 10 miles as the crow flies) north of AC) A normal weekend trip will have us spending the night aboard under the light of AC at Rum point, then possible a long day sail off shore and returning to Rum point or a trip down to Cape May to spend the night at Cape May Harbor and return the next day, sometimes venturing down to Lewis Del before heading north.
Hey it was great having you aboard Can Drac this weekend! And your new combined profile is great! (The material used for the windows in our dodger is called Makrolon, by the way). Can't wait to see Eliora on the water soon!
You bet, primo, you traded a boat in for a yacht! Check out our profile to see the first photos of Can Drac "put together" (can't say finished yet, but you know, it floats!) Thanks for dinner last night!
