I live in Grand Junction, Colorado but mostly sail out of San Diego.
About Me:
I'm a 'Charter Sailor' and founder of Yacht Charter Advisor (.com), (Go YCA!) a Rating and Review site about Charter Yachts and Pros for Charter Sailors. I'll try not to get kicked off the site for "unsolicited advertising". Is it really advertising when you give stuff away??
OH YES, I have a boat, ha! She's a 19Ft 1976 Bell Boy power boat. I have more hours in the engine well than on the water, not kidding. I've rebuilt the engine twice and at the moment have a new long block engine sitting on her deck - for 4 years. It's a mental block, or possibly an aneurysm. Photos available upon request.
Just for fun, I'm a software engineer and business manager for a grotesquely large and inefficient computer company that would make Mr. Toyota proud.
I am absolutely pleased to make the acquaintance of ALL other sailors!
Current location:
Grand Junction, CO
Destinations visited:
You asked...
North Pole (not recommended)
Nova Scotia (highly recommended, hit the bars after midnight)
White Sea (also not recommended)
Scotland (Yes, watch for flying beer glasses and angry Brits in Scotland)
England (Yes, drink all their beer! They'll make more - ha!)
Spain (Gibraltar is technically 'England' but I think they forgot)
France (ah yes, Toulon................................oh, ok, a'hem)
Italy (Naples, Sardinia, et al, hmm, it's blurry, yes, the vino, the vino, that's it!)
Israel (Haifa, I saw men in suits walking on the beach in chains. Then I left)
Caribbean (very blurry, St. Croix, a one legged woman, the Carnival, bottle of banana flavored panurica(?), a *very* long swim, a bunny from Toronto, repeat...)
San Diego (my Home Port!)
Monterey (CA.)
Washington St. (San Juan Islands, twice in 2009)
There's more but I'm bored writing to myself. It's better when we 'swap' sea stories.
