Storming on Lake Erie out of Buffalo

Sailing during storm on Lake Erie. We departed Buffalo on the Sunday, September 24, 2006, morning and after 8 hours of beating to the weather we decided to turn back. During that time we managed to do just 8NM away frm Buffalo.

YEAH!! LK E CAN BE NASTY!! IT TOOK ME 14HRS TO SAIL TO LORAINE FROM CYC. THE CG CAME OUT & TOLD ME TO FLAS MY LIGHTS IF I WAS OK. THEY THEN WENT IN & WAITED BEHIND THE SEAWALL. I HAD COLD PIZZA & CAFE WITH THEM @ 2AM. THEY TOLD ME I WAS THE ONLY BOAT OUT ON THE LAKE. IT TOOK 14HRS TO GO 12 MILES. THE NEXT DAY IT TOOK 14HRS TO GET TO PUT-IN-BAY. I KISSED LAND ON ARRIVAL. NICE VIDEO, SAILOR.
