Morn'n Sailoroo....Twizzled finally done... think they gave us a ladder as a peacekeeping gesture...ain't gonna work..but have two ladders now. Looking at padlocks...for o/b next spring...all I see is brass plated. They have one kind with plastic cover (snap on) over bottom where key goes...not sure if that's good enuf. Ordered 7' cables. Measured old ones for shyts n giggles...ain't 6' !!!! Will take back when unhooked...nervous about undoing at remote handle end ourselves. Taped and wrapped o/b connect. ends.
Thinking I may use Peapod in dead of winter...hate that pushing a grocery cart over snow ruts..ugh..gives the "cringies" think'n bout it! U know when we go down there they will have forgotten to put the shrinkwrap door in..again! Made pot roast tonite..lot's of garlic, yukon gold potatoes, carrots, onions...and chocolate birthday cake, son's birthday today. rain coming tonite i think... was looking at pond in yard..thinking ..a lil sailboat would be nice..lol..could leave it in till ice formed. only 8pm and i'm ready for bed.geezus..hate this dark crap so early! Have to go down again..maybe Sat, have to pour pink stuff into overboard/pumpout valve from deck plate thing and disconnect galley sink hose...think clogged from faucet down...from ?previous owner. Where's Wards?? Sounds like a good time. I took a 3 hour nap..yikes gonna be a long nite...Didn't sleep well last nite. So where is your winter spot going to be? U in yer new spot??? Got lot's done today. Did a "bandaid" chaulking? bead around starb'd ports. Can't hurt, might help. Stowed the elec. cord, tried to figure out which battery is dedicated to the motor....seems both are. geesh..over my head..will figure out later or hold the tray of brownies whilst someone else does! Pumped out water tank, winterized. Tried to do galley sink...confused...opened seacock..to let any residual water(never used)antifreeze run out. then poured a lil more down...didn't go down...??? more confusion. geepers
Ahoy there! Did you see Spindle float by today...saw it past me at the gas dock..heading north..doing about 8 kts.... Wow it was howling today!!!!! Was holding on to the mast with both hands!!!!!! .......ummm, well yeah...still in the slip, but had too, it was windy!!! But 70d was nice. Brought home my pillow and electric blanket....end of the season for sure now.
