If ya miss the 40 ft seas, I'll post some for ya later. We had a nice little no name storm a year ago October off of Mexico, 40-45ft and 80 knot breezes. Took a couple of good 45° rolls.
Unfortunately left a million homeless in the state of Tabasco, Mexico.
We sustained some damage onboard but after dealin with it for about twelve hours, we made it into the port of Dos Bocas with no steering, which was fun as the last 30 footer crawled up the stern and finished tearing everything loose. Interesting day.
Thanks for the add. I am new at this and will learn more as I spend time here. By the way, I think you have a misspelling near the end of your profile. I think you meant "out" instead of "put". :-)
I'm from Troy Ohio, sail a MacGregor 22 and a Catalina 25 on Acton Lake at Hueston Woods. I'm looking to find some blue water crewing experience this summer. In the meanwhile, I'm having fun locally. Would love to hear more about your experiences if you would care to join me for a sail when the weather is a bit warmer.
I'll dig up Callee's email address soon.
It's on another computer.

You have done the type of sailing that I would like to experience, but never will. I'm destined to sail the Chesapeake Bay. Not complaining, but I'd love to see those 40 foot seas.
Hi ScurveyWench,
I've been to Key West a few times myself.
Did you know Callee Frith Manning?
He ex: hubby Chris(?) was on one of those Cats in Key West.
Callee is back in Bermuda with her son.
Just curious...
Hi, Not many places to sail near Yellow Springs, no wonder you have to do it in your dreams. I sail my Bayfield 25 in Lake Erie when the water is not hard. I sometimes think I should move south to were you can sail all year long.

Wow! First you lose your schooner, now it appears as though Antioch is tossing in the towel. You need to get back on the water!
We seem to be getting a small Ohio group of sailors together. Charles has already suggested a sail, so perhaps we could pick a weekend to take Glisse out.
Maybe we'll find a couple more interested Ohioans.
I have a small double quarter berth, suitable for two *very* friendly people but really better for one. One port and one starboard berth in the saloon and a good sized double v-berth. If your son is old enough, he certainly would be welcome as well.

I have been teaching in Florence during the spring. Have been a professor at Kent State since I moved up here from Texas in the mid-eighties. Love my job! Italy is wonderful...
Hi Cathleen. Thanks for the kind comment. Being a sailor in the notheast it helps to have pictures to look at to get through the winter season. I cannot wait to get back out on the water....soon!
Hi, I haven't really figured out how everything works here. I was just saying hello back. Me puedo hablar espanol tambien. Pero cuando quiero hablar yo hablo solomente Ceka. (Czech) No he hablado espanol en hace 20 anos. for some reason my mind only allows two languages in my brain at a time. so all my spanish was replaced by Czech. (I was living there for about 15 years.)
